PBS provides software to the newspaper industry. Our work there consisted of running the marketing department and partnering with customers and industry leaders.

This was a turnaround situation. The company was purchased out of bankruptcy court. Our projects led to a complete and successful turnaround.

In addition, we managed a three-year $21M (total value) project, partnering with HP and PwC. This project established PBS as the dominant player in its market.

The company was then acquired by dti.

Thomson, based in Toronto, developed a strategy to divest over 125 newspapers in North America in order to invest entirely in on-line and digital high-growth media.

Timely and well-executed, this strategy was especially prescient given the shift from print to digital media. The merger with Reuters makes the company an "intelligent information" resource, as they promote on their web site.
